Our fire trucks are available for emergency services 24 hours a day. We can, however, bring the trucks out for block parties when requested. Our firefighters are on duty 24 hours a day every day. The firefighters work on a rotating schedule--necessitating the scheduling of any fire truck visits take place at least 7 days in advance of the date requested.
We do require that parents and adults in the group continue to watch over any children carefully, as the firefighters can be called out at any time for a call.
While we love to show off our trucks, block parties are also excellent opportunities for the District to teach citizens about Fire Safety issues.
All block parties offer us the opportunity to pass on educational information to children and their guardians; and we are pleased to take advantage of any opportunity to help save lives and property.
